In the process of cages usingpoultry farming equipment, it is easy for the chick flock to cause disease or even death. The chicks grow faster, the metabolism is more vigorous, the amount of oxygen required is larger, and the carbon dioxide is also discharged, which seriously affects the health of the flock, so the ventilation of the house is very important.

Poultry equipment manufacturersbelieve that under the temperature and humidity conditions of the brood house, the feces and litter are decomposed by microorganisms, producing a large amount of undesirable gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide. Excessive volume of these gases in the brooding house will cause air pollution, which will affect the growth and health of the chicks. If the carbon dioxide content in the brooding house is too high, the number of breaths of the chicks will increase significantly. In severe cases, the chicks will be euphemistic, the appetite will decrease, the growth will be slow, and the constitution will decline.

If the concentration of ammonia is too high, it will cause pulmonary edema and congestion in the chicks, irritating the conjunctiva caused by keratitis and conjunctivitis, and can induce the occurrence of upper respiratory diseases. Excessive hydrogen sulfide gas content can also cause discomfort to the chicks and loss of appetite. Therefore, pay attention to the ventilation of the brooding house, remove harmful gases in time, and keep the air inside the house fresh. The contents of harmful gases such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide in the house are not more than 0.05 liter/m3, 0.01 liter/m3 and 3.5 liter/m3 respectively, that is, there is no pungent and glare after entering the brooding house. At the same time of ventilation and ventilation, we must also pay attention to the changes in the temperature inside the house to prevent the gap wind from blowing in, so as not to cause the chick to catch a cold.

There are two methods for ventilation and ventilation in brooding houses: natural ventilation and forced ventilation. Ventilation in an open house can be solved with natural ventilation. The specific method is: Every day around 12 noon, the window of the Chaoyang should be properly opened. It should be half-open from small to large, and the door and window should not be opened suddenly. Don’t let the cold wind blow the chicks. The window opening time is usually 0.5-1 hour. In order to prevent the temperature from lowering, the temperature should be raised to 1-29 °C before ventilation, and then lowered to the original temperature after the ventilation is completed. The layer cage manufacturer recommends that the closed house be forcedly ventilated by a power mechanical fan. The specific requirements for ventilation are: 0.03-0.06 cubic meters per minute in winter and early spring, and 0.12 cubic meters per minute in summer.
